Immerse Your Pupils in Nature

Create Habitats / Create Learning Opportunities / Create the Future

Schools can be havens for wildlife

ReWild Your School specialises in helping schools move their ethos to one of nurturing nature, immersing pupils in wildlife and integrating their habitats and ecosystems into learning opportunities.

We do this by Creating Habitats, Training Teachers and Leading Wildlife Sessions linked to various aspects of the Curriculum.

The challenge of Ecological Breakdown must begin at schools because its this generation that will deal with its effects and must learn the tools to reverse it.

Create Learning Opportunities in School

Creating Habitat in schools goes beyond the obvious learning opportunities in Science such as Classification, Keys, Food Chains & Webs.

Using ID apps such as INaturalist you can bring in IT - data handling, Photo editing and collate data for Maths for graphs, Geography by mapping where you observed something and using that data in Projects such as searching for Signs of Spring or the Great Butterfly Count.

Plant materials are great for Outdoor Art or Forest School. Hedgerows can be using to make timelines for History. Looking after nature is part of Citizenship and building bird boxes can be part of Design & Technology.

By incorporating an outdoor reading area to your space you can bring in literacy links, mindfullness and much more.
